Dr. Arash Safavi is a board-certified pediatric surgeon and Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. He completed his medical degree at the National University of Tehran and went on to earn a Master of Health Sciences from the University of British Columbia School of Public Health. His surgical training includes a General Surgery internship and residency at the University of Arizona, followed by a Pediatric Surgery Fellowship at BC Children's Hospital (UBC) and a Pediatric Surgical Critical Care Fellowship at Children's Hospital of Michigan, Wayne State University. Dr. Safavi holds dual board certifications in Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, and Pediatric Surgery from both the American Board of Surgery and the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada — reflecting the breadth and depth of his expertise. In his clinical and academic role, he is dedicated to advancing the care of children and training the next generation of surgeons.
