You Can Grill Greens and More!

Posted 07/10/2012 | By HealthCorps

Consider lightly spraying greens with a bit of olive or vegetable oil, sprinkle with a dash of dried herbs, salt and pepper and grill them for a few minutes, staying close by so you can remove as soon as the edges toast a bit. Hot/ cold salads are all the rage – mixing some cooked and some fresh ingredients.

Get to know greens like chard, rich in vitamin K, spinach, rich in iron, and beet greens rich in potassium.

You can also grill peaches, halved and face down, plums done the same way, pineapple slices and even watermelon!!! The natural sugars in these fruits will caramelize from the heat of the grill.
