Yacon Straight from the Doctor’s (as in Dr. Oz’s) Mouth

Featured recently on the Dr. Oz show, yacon is a sweetener that may offer a helpful nudge to losing excess weight.  It is sourced from a South African root and has been part of the Andean diet for hundreds of years.

It appears to support digestion and regulate blood sugar.  Its powers may lie in the high fiber content and the low calorie sweetness that it offers to a variety of recipes.  Make sure to buy the simple, unadulterated syrup and be aware that it may instigate “multiple eliminations.”
