Physical activity at any age may help to promote better cognition. In fact, recent studies suggest that even seniors can engage in physical activity, improve their cognition and possibly reduce Alzheimer’s disease risk. All forms of physical activity are beneficial, including washing dishes and housecleaning. And remember that if you are carrying excess weight, water-based exercises and the stationary bike are good fitness starting options.
