The National Sleep Foundation recommends combining a small serving of a carbohydrate and a protein. Cereal and skim milk, a small piece of whole grain toast and peanut butter, or low sodium turkey slices in a whole grain small wrap are good examples. Remember to include this night time snack in your total daily calorie count.
