NEW YORK, NY (July 12, 2016) – HealthCorps® (www.healthcorps.org), HealthCorps®, a leader in the nationwide movement of healthy young people, is proud to announce that Reza Razzaghipour, Wells Fargo Pacific Coast Community Bank Regional, has been appointed to HealthCorps’ Board of Directors.

“I often  say that a nation that cannot be healthy cannot be wealthy.  Nothing is more true as we gamble our children’s future on their current health, says Dr. Mehmet Oz. As a gifted financier and leader, Reza’s insight into how economics can drive healthy change will lead to more effective strategy for Healthcorps’ programs.

“I’m thrilled about the opportunity to join the Health Corps board and  make a meaningful difference in the lives of teens”, says Reza, “I’ve always believed that healthy living is a crucial component to your best life.”

A 16-year Wells Fargo veteran, Razzaghipour assumed his current role in 2010 and oversees more than 1,700 bank professionals across 118 branches across Southern California. Razzaghipour has also served as region president in the former Southern California region, district manager for the Valley Crossroads market in the San Fernando Valley, business area manager in the San Francisco Bay area.

He is active in the community and serves on the board of Casa Pacifica Centers for children & families, a residential center offering care, medical and services for abused and neglected children.

About Healthcorps

HealthCorps is a national non-profit organization that gives teens tools to improve physical and
mental health so they can learn to live more productive and happier lives. HealthCorps students exercise more, eat better and practice positive thought. The program will impact almost 1 million students across 19 states in 2016.  The HealthCorps curriculum has been refined and developed in its in-school Living Labs program since 2003, where a full-time Coordinator is placed inside a high-need high school to mentor hundreds of students, teach health related workshops, and promote a variety of during and after school activities. Coordinators are recent college graduates who go on to careers in medicine, public health policy or wellness practices.  HealthCorps University is an intense professional development program that certifies participants to bring HealthCorps’ innovative health and wellness curriculum to their organization whether it’s a school system, community organization or corporation. In 2015, HealthCorps teamed with CK-12 to distribute free, interactive and customizable versions of the HealthCorps curriculum for educators and students to use.  HealthCorps operates Living Labs in eight California High Schools and HealthCorps University in 27 Schools across California.
