Use Water to Shape Up This Summer

Looking for a cool way to exercise off pounds this summer or just to stay in shape? A local pool can help you to do just that. Swimming is a great way to work out and it can also be a great stress reducer. It also offers calorie burning aerobic exercise without taxing your knees or ankles like some other aerobic modalities of exercise.

Just get your doctor’s OK and be up-to-date on pool safety. Also make sure you feel safe and know how to swim and tread water. Check out the cleanliness of the pool and the frequency with which chlorine and pool maintenance is provided. If you plan to swim on off hours, check that there is a lifeguard on duty or else get a swim buddy.
