Amy’s Kitchen, the first company to offer mass market frozen certified organic entrees, has opened two health clinics across the street from its plant, for use by employees and their families. With a $6 a day co-pay, and the convenient location, it has been a hit. It may also start a trend for large companies looking to provide health support to a loyal staff.

Looking for a low cal summer treat….think pickles!! Just check the sodium content before you take your first crunchy bite. These delicious treats are best bites because they are low calorie and tasty!!

Use bourbon, plantains, colored peppers and shredded coconut to flavor foods.

Using cereals as add-ins to yogurt, or as topping on home-baked muffins is a creative way to get whole grain into your “other than breakfast meals.” Also consider using coarsely ground cereal in lieu of breadcrumbs, as a crunchy topping on salads.
