The Franklin High School, Stockton CA, Highway to Health event proved that a Spring Roll may be the key to luring lots of folks to a community health event!  The recipe, prepared from fresh, healthy ingredients like kale, lured guests of all ages, to come visit the HealthCorps’ booth and make their own healthy, delicious and calorie conscious snack.

The Stockton event was held on April 21, 2013.

The focus of the Sunnyside High School, Fresno, California Highway to Health event, was an in-school health fair.  With health screenings a major focus of the event, nearly 200 participants had an opportunity to receive personal health information.  Free water and Kashi snacks were a hit, as participants waited for various screenings.

The Fresno event was held on March 17, 2013.

The event was a huge benefit to the community, thanks to the efforts of Tzu Chi Medical Foundation, and the HealthCorps’ students, led by Coordinator Emily Grant.
