Michael Guadarrama

Living Labs Coordinator

Michael wants to live in a world where everyone has the tools and access to resources in order to be healthy both physically and mentally.

As the Program Coordinator for Heard Elementary at HealthCorps, he’s using his passion for health and wellness to help empower students and the community to live happier lives.

His favorite part about working for HealthCorps is being a mentor and a leader for his community in Phoenix, Arizona.

A native of Chandler, Arizona, he graduated from Arizona State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise and Wellness. Michael has worked in physical therapy and also athletic training. The last two years he has been coaching youth, collegiate, and professional athletes to help improve their athletic performance.

Michael is most proud of overcoming a lot of obstacles and adversity to finish school, get a degree, and finding a career that truly makes him happy.

When he’s not working, or watching sports, you can find him at the gym working out for at least an hour and a half (minimum).

Michael’s craziest dream is to one day be able to visit the Roman Coliseum and to see the Pyramids of Egypt and Mexico.
