With over 10 years of experience in design and marketing, Henna Haroon brings both practical skills and broad strategic direction to HealthCorps. Her varied career has seen her as a photographer at a horse racetrack, a multimedia coordinator at a design studio, an analyst at a healthcare equipment e-commerce company, a marketing manager at a telecommunications corporation, and finally as a managerial marketing consultant. She maintains close ties to academia, through her connection with the Honors College at the University of Houston, where earned her degree in 2007.
Her commitment to health and the environment are supported by her passion for gardening as a tool for teaching children the connection between a healthy earth and human wellness. She’s very excited to be working for an organization committed to providing educational intervention as a means teaching life-saving skills to America’s youth.
