Preferred Pronouns: She/her/hers

Hometown: Lawton, OK

Currently Live: South Bend, IN

College/Majors: University of Southern California; Master of Public Health in Biostatistics and Epidemiology

Career Goals or Interests: My career goals include attaining a Phd in Epidemiology so that I may pursue a career as a research epidemiologist and professor. I am interested in modifiable health risk behaviors (especially those related to obesity), how the built environment impacts obesity and obesity–promoting behaviors, social determinates of health, and underserved populations.

Passions & Hobbies: I’m passionate about the environment, animals, and serving others. My hobbies include working out, reading murder mysteries (I love Agatha Christie), and completing home renovation projects with my husband.

Fun Fact: When I was growing up, I hated sweating and pretty much any type of physical activity. I found a loophole in our school system’s PE requirements, so from 7th – 12th grade, I did not take a single PE class. During my senior year, I started going to a local gym with my mother and fell in love with strength training. I ended up making fitness my career for the last 10 years.
