Add grapes to your daily diet.   Grapes help to protect against metabolic syndrome, a cluster of risk factors that can lead to diabetes and heart disease.  Grapes appear to reduce the inflammation that can lead to these risk factors.

Consider taking uncoated aspirin (with food) when treating pain or when using aspirin to prevent heart disease or colon cancer.  The coating on aspirin can delay the impact of the medication for as much as four hours.  It may also interfere with aspirin’s anti-clotting effect.

You might want to avoid surgery on the weekend.  Statistics seem to show that higher rates of complications, post-surgery, occur on the weekend.

Practicing forgiveness is a wonderful wellness habit to embrace.  You can visualize events where you were wronged and imagine them in the distant past, pushing the painful memories away.  As you imagine them disappearing, smile, and this can actually cause a physiologic release of mood-boosting endorphins.

Hibiscus tea is rich in anti-oxidants including anthocyanins, flavonols,and  phenolic acid and it has a delicious, fruity flavor.  When the tea is consumed on a regular basis, those compounds can help reduce high blood pressure or keep pre-hypertension from becoming full-blown hypertension.
