Did you know that introverts spend more time on Facebook? You might have assumed that extroverts post more on Facebook, but introverts find that Facebook allows them to engage more easily, so they really embrace the online social experience. Introverts do, however, tend to share less than their extroverted counterparts.
Binge drinking, excessive weekly alcohol consumption, and underage drinking were responsible for 88,000 deaths per year between 2006 and 2010. Causes of death included liver and heart disease, violence, car crashes and drowning. That data reflects a 10% death rate among people ages 20 – 64.
Yogurt may protect against diabetes. People who ate at least 4.5 servings of low fat yogurt weekly had 28% lower risk for diabetes, compared to people who did not eat yogurt. The calcium, magnesium, and vitamin D may all contribute to a protective benefit.
Do you know the trick to lowering the fat in gravy? Take any homemade gravy and put it in a container – glass works well – and simply refrigerate overnight. The very nature of fat is to rise to the surface in the cold environment. Skim off the fat the next day and voila, a healthier gravy!
