Rates of strokes in pregnant women are increasing, despite the fact that they are falling among seniors. Increasing obesity, inactivity and older maternal age are all considered possible explanations for this worrisome trend.

E-cigarette vapors can cause respiratory infections in kids. The vapor may trigger a strong immune response in the epithelial cells that line and protect the inside of the lungs. Once the cells are exposed to the vapors they become more susceptible to infection.

Do not consume raw chia seeds. Though a good source of fiber, protein and omega-3 fatty acids, they can absorb up to 27 times their weight in water. If swallowed dry, they can swell, with exposure to saliva, and cause an obstruction in your throat or upper esophagus, especially in people with swallowing problems. Always mix the seeds with fluids and allow them to expand fully before eating.
