Eating protein is satiating. In fact, one recent finding was that people who included only 10% of protein sources in their diet ate more calories over a four day period, compared to those who included 15% of their day’s calories from protein sources. What should you do? Choose lean and non-meat proteins and include a serving at every meal.

Eating dark greens can help to “protect’ your eyes and reduce the risk of cataracts and macular degeneration. What should you do? Consider adding kale, Swiss chard, spinach and collard greens to your daily diet.

Magnesium-rich foods may help to lower your risk of a stroke. What should you do? Have servings from nuts or whole grains and/or beans daily.
