Pair Up to Slim Down

One of the keys to sticking with your exercise program may involve a buddy. Team up with a like-minded person who wants to lose weight or just get healthier. You can inspire each other to achieve goals, annoy each other to stick with your pledge to exercise even when you don’t feel like doing it, and support each other when the scale doesn’t budge.

Another option is to join a group exercise program or a support group. Again, the idea is that when you share the experience with others, they can provide encouragement, especially when your own motivation fails you. You can also share your frustrations and expect to get empathy and a dose of, “Keep it going despite your roadblocks!”
