Tasty, health, and easy-to-prepare recipes for New Year’s Eve

If you are hosting a party or dinner tonight, you will love these next two recipes straight from the Dr. Oz show.  They only require a short list of ingredients that you throw into a pot, they’re packed with delicious taste, and they are low calorie too!!  Call them quick one-pot healthy wonders!!

Seafood Guizada


8-10 cups water
1 green pepper chopped
1 onion chopped
2 yucca
6 carrots chopped
4 garlic cloves minced
Spanish seasoning to taste
Garlic powder to taste
Cilantro to garnish


Place all ingredients in large pot. Simmer for 20 minutes. Serve and enjoy!

Grilled Chicken Penne


4 garlic cloves, peeled
2 cups cherry tomatoes
1 cup broccoli
3 cups uncooked wheat penne pasta
3 cups chicken broth
1 cup white wine
Salt and pepper to taste
1/2 tsp crushed peppers
1 1/4 cup basil leaves
1 oz Parmesan cheese
2 cups grilled chicken, diced


Combine all ingredients but chicken. Microwave for 18 to 20 minutes. Add the chicken and serve.
