HEALTHCORPS NAMES EDUCATOR AND MARKETING EXECUTIVE AMY BRAUN PRESIDENT AND CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
New York – February 07, 2020– HealthCorps® (www.healthcorps.org), a national non-profit with innovative approaches to help teens grow mentally strong and physically fit, is proud to announce Amy Braun as its President and CEO.
In this position, Ms. Braun will oversee all operations of the school based, health and wellness not for profit founded in 2003 by Dr. Mehmet Oz and his wife Lisa.

Ms. Braun began her career in education, teaching fifth grade math and reading in New York City with Teach for America. While working in the classroom, she developed a new literacy curriculum that led to significant performance gains schoolwide. After stints with Teach for America and Harlem Village Academies, Ms. Braun joined the global marketing team at Mattel, Inc. where she developed global campaigns and marketing strategies for play through speech recognition and interactive gaming to innovate the 60-year-old household brand, Barbie®. Following Mattel, Ms. Braun served as the Head of U.S. Marketing and Communications for Pai Technology where she led the company’s communications initiatives for its augmented reality products and smart devices, including Botzees, a robotics kit that teaches PreK-6 grade students coding fundamentals.

Ms. Braun is a graduate from the University of Chicago. She holds a Master’s of Business Administration from the UCLA Anderson School of Management with a focus in marketing, and a Master’s in Education from Pace University in New York.
HealthCorps is a 501 (c)(3) founded in 2003 that works in high need schools to give teens tools to improve physical and mental health so they can learn to live more productive and happier lives. The organization has impacted 2.5 million students and educators since then.
