I don’t have a 30 or 60 minute block of time to exercise – what should I do to fit in fitness?

You can do two-minute intervals of vigorous exercise, like running a few flights of stairs, throughout the day. You can also do some brisk 2 to 3 minute walks around the block a few times during the day. The new mantra in the fitness world is that there is no single formula to fitness.  Accumulating short, intense fitness experiences is one of the many ways to achieve your daily fitness goals. Getting up periodically for these small bursts of exercise will also help with better mental focus at work.

Experts feel that aiming too high with lofty fitness goals, is a turn off for most individuals who are willing to add fitness to their daily routines, but not if they have to fit long durations of exercise into an already packed schedule. You can get off the train two stops early and power walk the rest of the way to work, pace through your office while talking on the phone, and biking to work on some days can help you to fit exercise into an otherwise fully scheduled day. Think about “small efforts that can fit into a packed day.”
