Buying Into Trends of 2015
These three new trends may inspire you to move or get healthier. They offer themes including technology, support, and competition with a fun component.
Wearable technology – The new Apple iWatch is bringing a whole new level to the tech arena. Experts say it’s the kind of device that will really put the wearer in touch with their body. The new operating system will literally create a dashboard on your phone that can monitor and record health data, helping you to live a healthier life. You’ll also be able to share the information with your healthcare provider.
Virtual personal training and coaching – With Skype, FaceTime and other virtual connections, a trainer can guide you through a full workout in the privacy or your home. They’ll be able to see your form and correct poor quality moves. You’ll be able to access trainers from all over the world, and work out anytime during the day.
Obstacle course racing and competitions – From the Mud Run to American Ninja Warrior, taking your workout to an obstacle course format is becoming the rage. These intense workouts can really help you to challenge your abilities, and the different options mean you avoid boredom. You can search for local events and competitions if these kinds of fitness activities interest you.
