Ardmore High School’s Holistic Approach to Health, Fitness, and Nutrition

Posted 10/17/2013 | By HealthCorps

Bethany Maddox, the new coordinator assigned to Ardmore High School in Oklahoma, started her high school experience by offering kids fresh fruit samples, and introducing Zumba classes.  What’s up next?  Pot luck dinners with a healthy twist, lessons to promote healthier living, and community outreach events that will extend some of the school lessons to parents and others who live near the high school.

Bethany hopes that once she wraps her two years at the high school, the health, lifestyle and mental strength initiatives she puts in place will continue.
