Organize / Fundraise to Bring HealthCorps

Anyone can help bring HealthCorps® to their school or keep HealthCorps in their school by holding a HealthCorps fundraiser in their school. The HealthCorps program costs approximately $70,000.00 per school annually. Below are some ideas for possible school-based fundraisers:
  • Conduct a walk-a-thon in which people sponsor walkers by donating money for every mile walked.
  • Hold an auction or raffle for prizes donated by members of the community.
  • Create healthy, whole-grain baked goods for a bake sale.
  • Hold a “Chain Reaction” group spinning event using school gym equipment and local personalities – participants pay a fee to ride join in a healthy ride led by a celebrity and cycling instructor. 
     
HealthCorps seeks to meet the needs of each community where its program operates. Create ideas for fundraisers that similarly reflect the uniqueness and culture of the community.
Please contact communityoutreach@healthcorps.org with your proposal for a community fundraiser and include the following information:
 
  • Proposed date and location of fundraiser
  • Proposed format of event – type, length
  • Fundraising partners (if any)
  • Primary organizers name, organization and contact info
  • Proposed budget and projected net revenue
