Try Lisa Oz’s dressing on your next bowl of salad.

The Oz Family loves this vinaigrette as a house dressing for their family salad bar nights. Try adding it with your own variation of the Oz Family Salad Bar or drizzle and toss it on your favorite salad recipe.

This recipe is featured in Lisa’s new book, The Oz Family Kitchen.

Oz Family House Dressing

 Makes 1 cup

  • 1 tsp Dijon mustard
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 3 tbsp cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp pure maple syrup
  • 1/2 tsp tamari or soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp fine sea salt
  • 1/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
  • 2/3 cup extra-virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh chives, finely chopped

  1. Whisk the mustard and garlic together in a small bowl.
  2. Add the vinegar, maple syrup, tamari, salt, and pepper and whisk well. Gradually whisk in the oil. Or combine all of the ingredients in a jar and shake well.
  3. Stir in the chives. The dressing can be covered and refrigerated for up to 3 days. Whisk well before using.
Tip: If you don’t have fresh chives, use minced scallion tops or shallots.
