Tis the Season to...
If this is a big holiday week for you then you are probably trying to finish up at work or school, trying to shop, maybe cook and bake; maybe you are running around the house decorating or trying to get it ready for a party or for stay-over guests. It’s an easy time to forget about “me-time” – those couple of minutes a day that you devote to…..you.
Relaxation is a vital part of health, so don’t abandon your me-time, even during the holidays. Why not:
- Grab a cup of tea and put up your feet for 10 minutes.
- Take a break, go outside and take a brisk walk around the block
- Treat yourself to a night-time soak in a bubble bath – even for 15 minutes.
- Exchange a back rub with a fellow multi-tasking friend who lives close by
- Give a 5 minute foot massage to your partner and let him/her return the favor.
- Lie down for 5-10 minutes with a cold compress (or frozen eye gel pack) over your eyes
The idea is to just take a few short moments out of your hectic and stressful day so you re-charge your energy levels – physically and emotionally.
