Overview

By making a donation, you support the HealthCorps mission to empower America’s youth and their families to eat smart and stay active.

Help HealthCorps reverse the obesity epidemic:

  • Over 30% of America’s children are overweight or obese, and the rate is growing at an alarming rate.
  • An entire generation is threatened with serious health issues and shortened life expectancies.
  • Childhood obesity carries staggering financial costs, with over $14 billion spent annually.
 
HealthCorps is helping children and their families through its in-school and community programs. There is no cost to the children or school. The program cost approximately $75,000 per school. Over half of this amount pays for a Coordinators salary, benefits and educational stipend. HealthCorps relies on funding from local school districts, local governments, like-minded institutions, corporations, and individuals.
 
HealthCorps, Inc. is a 501(c)(3), and contributions to HealthCorps are tax-deductible less the value of any goods or services received for the contribution. To provide appropriate tax-deduction documentation, HealthCorps must have the name and address of each donor.
