Skipping breakfast on a regular basis can raise your risk of developing diabetes type 2 by as much as 21%, according to some experts and some recent studies. And there is a “better breakfast” template to follow which is to combine protein and healthy fat. A few examples are scrambled eggs combined with peppers, low fat cheese and tofu or Greek low fat yogurt with nuts, flaxseeds and berries. Another good choice is a high protein cereal with almond milk and thinly sliced bananas.
